Introducing the Kelty Far Out Backpacking Tent + Tent Footprint Package, designed for 2 or 3 people. This backpacking starter kit includes a lightweight stuff sack for easy carrying. The tent features a 68D polyester floor and fly with a 1500mm HH rating, as well as a no-see-um mesh canopy and lightweight aluminum poles.

Made in the USA, the Far Out tent is a perfect launching point for new backpackers or those returning to the outdoors. The included footprint provides extra protection for the tent floor. With user-friendly specs and pre-attached guylines, set up is a breeze.

The unique Stargazer fly allows campers to enjoy a night under the stars while still being protected from the elements. The rainfly can be easily repositioned from inside the tent, or rolled off for an impromptu stargazing session.

Kelty's shark mouth stuff sack makes packing up a quick and easy task. The wide opening allows for effortless storage, even if the contents are not perfectly packed.

As a founding member of The Conservation Alliance, Kelty is committed to protecting natural spaces. The tent is made with DWR/PFC free fabrics and coatings, reducing waste and environmental impact.

The Far Out tent features 2 doors, 2 vestibules, and inner gear pockets for ample storage. The 2 person model weighs 4lb 10oz and offers 28 sq. ft. of space, with a peak height of 43 inches. The 3 person model weighs 5lb 3oz and provides 40 sq. ft. of space, also with a 43-inch peak height.
